GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) conducted medical outreach program on Wednesday in Sitio Dinginin, Mariveles, Bataan, its host community.
According to GNPD public relations personnel Laurice Zapanta, free medical consultation and 200 hygiene kits and medicines were given to the residents. An information campaign among sitio residents for health and hygiene was also conducted.
The first medical mission at Sitio Dinginin is a joint effort of the Community Relations Department and Safety Health and Environment Department (SHE) of the company. GNPD AVP for Community Relations Arcel Madrid highlighted the company’s commitment to help the host community of Sitio Dinginin and its residents. “We at GNPD recognize this as one of our priorities in our company. We ensure that each member of our growing family stays safe while at work, and through this medical outreach program, we are extending this commitment to the community”. He assured that this is only the beginning of GNPD’s many endeavors to help uplift the lives of Sitio residents as they have more programs for them. “We strongly believe that we are one with the community: they need our support just as much as we need theirs.” Lorna Mariano, a midwife assigned at Sitio Dinginin expressed her gratitude to the company. “Nagpapasalamat po kami sa GNPD para sa pagkakataon na ito na makatulong sa mga tiga-Sitio Dinginin”.
The effort to reach out to the community aligns with one of the S (Safeguard quality health access) in GNPD’s “PROGRESS” Roadmap.
The community relation team under the program assessed the health condition of community residents. Zapanta said the team found out there are children afflicted with coughs, colds, and skin diseases and many old residents need medical attention.
